In an instant, thousands of Japanese gamers are transported from their everyday lives into the world of Elder Tale, a popular MMORPG, after its latest update. Among them is Shiroe, a socially awkward college student who quickly adjusts to his new reality as a veteran player. However, he must navigate this unfamiliar territory and lead others in order to bring stability to the virtual city of Akihabara. Along with his unfortunate friend Naotsugu, who logs in for the first time in years, and Akatsuki, a fierce assassin who sees Shiroe as her master, Log Horizon tells the story of a master strategist trying to make the best of a confusing situation in a world of fantasy, adventure, and politics.
Log Horizon adapts the first five volumes of Mamare Tounos novel series of the same title.
