During a peaceful summer vacation, illyasviel von einzbern and her friend miyu edelfelt take time away from their magical girl duties. however, their break is cut short when they are kidnapped by rin toosaka and luviagelita edelfelt while spending time with friends. they soon learn that their work as magical girls is far from over, as the clock tower informs them of an out-of-control mana believed to have been sealed continuing to spread throughout fuyuki city. after tracing the source of the anomaly, illyasviel and miyu are tasked with resolving it. but after casting their spell, illyasviel discovers that she has transformed into two separate individuals! as her new form disappears, she wonders what the future holds for her doppelganger roaming the city without her knowledge.
