A sixteen-year-old named Yuuki Hase finally mustered the courage to approach his crush and inquire if she would like to become friends. The person of interest, Kaori Fujimiya, is a reserved girl who tends to distance herself from others. Despite rejecting him with the same bluntness as everyone else, Yuuki persisted in meeting with her daily in an attempt to understand her better. Over time, she began to open up more to him. However, just before the end of the week, Kaori started pushing him away once again. It was then revealed that the reason for her cold demeanor was due to a middle school accident which resulted in her forgetting all memories of those close to her, except for her family, every Monday. As a result, she is unable to form meaningful relationships out of fear of hurting the people dear to her. Determined to become more than just one week friends, Yuuki asked Kaori the same question each Monday: "Would you like to be friends?" He knew deep down that this was what she truly desired.
