While on his way back from school, Tatsumi stumbles upon a man lying unconscious near the lake. Upon closer inspection, he realizes that this individual is not just any person; rather, it's a stunning merman named Wakasa. Due to pollution in his home, Wakasa can no longer reside there, prompting Tatsumi to kindly offer his bathtub as a temporary shelter. With the addition of an energetic and boisterous merman to his household, Tatsumi's routine life will undoubtedly be disrupted. Furthermore, Wakas aquatic companions-Takasu, Mikuni, and Maki-frequently drop by unannounced, making them all quite a handful for the high school student. Although he may initially find their inquisitive nature about human existence amusing, Tatsumi will need to maintain composure if he wishes to balance his daily obligations with his new friendship.
