The Red Dragon Emperor, Issei Hyoudou, and the Occult Research Club are preparing for summer break at Kuoh Academy. Following their confrontation with Vali and the Chaos Brigade, it has become evident that Rias Gremory's team lacks experience. In response, she and Azazel implement a rigorous training regimen in the Underworld to prepare them for future challenges. As they grow more cohesive as a unit, Issei will continue to develop intimate relationships with the members of the Occult Research Club. Meanwhile, their enemies become stronger and multiply, and the arrival of Loki, the Norse Evil God, adds another layer of complexity to the situation. High School DxD BorN promises epic battles and powerful devil characters.

Episodes 1 and 2 were previewed at back-to-back screenings at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo on March 15, 2015. Regular broadcasting began on April 4, 2015.
