In the past, humanity was on the brink of extinction due to massive, armored insects that had grown too powerful and hostile. As a result, humans now reside in floating cities rather than on Earth. Despite this, wizards from renowned academies are battling these creatures. Kanata Age, once celebrated as the "Black Master Swordsman," is currently labeled a traitor. He has an opportunity to redeem himself by mentoring team E601, consisting of three females: Misora Whitale, Lecty Eisenach, and Rico Flamel, each with their own challenges. Kanata may encounter difficulties due to these ladies' problems.
Episode 1 was previewed at a screening at Kadokawa Cinemas Shinjuku on June 21, 2015. Regular broadcasting began on July 9, 2015. The cast from the drama CD reprised their roles in the anime.
