Kurayami Santa  

暗暗三太, 暗闇三太

During the shouwa era in japan, there was a widespread culture of greed among both urban and rural communities. in response to this, king of hell enma daiou summoned an emissary named kurayami santa into his office. through enmas debriefing, santa learned that the excessive amount of selfish behavior and greed exhibited by humans would soon lead to a massive influx of souls entering hell simultaneously, which posed a significant threat to the underworld. as such, santa was given one task: find a way to address this issue. with no specific instructions or guidelines, santa was left to his own devices to handle the situation as he saw fit. meanwhile, in the human world, a violent thunderstorm struck a nearby cemetery with a bolt of lightning. suddenly, an envoy from hell appeared before santa's eyes. realizing that humans were just as wicked as enma had described, santa decided to take action and restore balance between light and dark by completing his mission from hell.

Fourteen episodes were originally planned. Episode 2 was cancelled and its storyboard recording was included with the DVD release.
