When Subaru Natsuki exits a convenience store, he is unexpectedly transported to an alternate reality. Initially disoriented and overwhelmed, he soon finds himself being attacked by some thugs. Despite having only a bag of groceries and a broken cell phone as his weapons, Subaru is quickly defeated. Just when things seem their bleakest, Satella, a stunning woman pursuing the one who took her emblem, appears and rescues him. Grateful for her help, Subaru agrees to assist her in her search. That night, they successfully locate what she's been looking for. However, unbeknownst to them, a sinister force lurks in the shadows, waiting to strike at any moment. Tragically, mere minutes after finding the emblem, Subaru and Satella are brutally murdered. But to his astonishment, Subaru wakes up once again, back in the same situation as before-confronted by the same group of thugs and reunited with Satella. The mystery deepens as he realizes that time is repeating itself in this strange new world.
