In cremona, a notorious vigilante known as "killer b" is causing chaos. some people admire him while others fear him. armed with a sharp blade and superhuman abilities, he takes justice into his own hands. the royal investigation service (ris) can't catch him, so they call on keith flick, an experienced detective who was demoted to the archives department after a personal loss. as crimes escalate in cremona, it becomes clear that more than one person is involved. with help from his impulsive sidekick lily hoshina and unexpected aid from killer b himself, keith uncovers plots involving secret organizations, domestic terrorism, and human experiments. however, when the ris's involvement extends beyond justice, questions about government corruption and the trustworthiness of allies arise.
