The story takes place in Matsuyama City on Shikoku Island during the 1960s. It follows the Onda family - Sachiko, an enthusiastic Hiromi Dō fan; Takushi, who struggles with math; Yoshito, a factory worker and baseball fan of the Yomiuri Giants; Natsuko, who dreams of building a home for her loved ones; and their newest member, Mii, a feline companion.
Neko mo, Onda-ke airs in the Tsunagaru Wide Hounan variety program, which lasts from 15:50 to 17:54 on Fridays.
