True love endures even when it involves a human and an immortal youkai. Fortunately, fox spirit youkai have devised a method for humans to be reborn, with the aid of a Fox Spirit Matchmaker, allowing them to recall their past life's memories and commence a new existence alongside their beloved youkai. Introducing Bai Yuechu, a potent human Taoist yearning for autonomy from the ruling Yi Qi Dao League, and Tushan Susu, an innocent fox spirit aspiring to become a renowned matchmaker despite her notorious reputation as a colossal failure. After accidentally falling into his life, Yuechu is coerced by Susu to assist her in reuniting two separated lovers: Fan Yun Fei, the prince, and Li Xueyang, his reincarnated sweetheart. However, not everyone desires their union, including Xueyang herself. As fate would have it, Yuechu and Susu will uncover who they truly are... as well as who they used to be.

A Japanese dub of the series aired on television under the title Enmusubi no Youko-chan starting on July 1, 2017. Each TV episode was comprised of two ONA episodes with minor aesthetic touch-ups, formally concluding this season in its episode 6.
