On Futagami Island, there was an explosion that marked the start of a new chapter in the Dangaioh mythos. This event was orchestrated by Professor Katou and his group known as the "Tartarus Knights." Their goal was to destroy the world using a research station on the island. Although it appeared that they would succeed, their victory was halted when they encountered an advanced fortress protecting the island. From this stronghold, three humanoid robots were launched-Dangaioh!

Initially planned to have an episode length of 26 episodes, production was cancelled after episode 13, due to the poor reception of the series.
