The writer/director/Flash animator Frogmans Calorie Mate parodied his previous works, Ghost in the Shell and Nodame Cantabile, on Channel 5.5. In their next target, Rose of Versailles, he poked fun at Riyoko Ikedas influential shoujo classic. Mayo Suzukaze reprised her role as Oscar François de Jarjayes, which she previously played in the Takarazuka Revue stage musical adaptation of the work.
