Three young women named Sumi Washio, Sonoko Nogi, and Gin Minowa were chosen by Shinju-sama as heroes to combat the dangerous Vertexes that threatened the balance of the world. Although they had no idea when they would be called upon, they spent their time carefree until a sudden appearance of a Vertex caught them off guard during battle. Despite being overwhelmed at first, they managed to defeat their foe through sheer determination. However, after the fight, they realized that they needed to work together more effectively and enhance their combat skills. As more enemies emerged, requiring even greater power to vanquish them, the girls faced a difficult decision: should they continue using their magic at such great cost, knowing it may change them forever? Ultimately, they decided to risk everything for humanity's safety, but the price of victory would be steep and potentially irreversible.

The first six episodes of the second season of TV anime "Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru" will adapt "Washio Sumi wa Yuusha de Aru." Prior to the broadcast, the episodes are being screened theatrically as three movies.
