Ichirou Inuyashiki is a 58-year-old family man who is struggling with back pain and emotional distress from his wife and children's indifference. Despite these challenges, he finds comfort in adopting an abandoned Shiba Inu named Hanako into his home. However, Ichirou's life takes a turn for the worse when he discovers that he has stomach cancer and only three months to live. His emotional breakdown is triggered by his family's lack of interest, leading him to run off into a nearby field and weep. While there, he notices a mysterious figure standing before him. Suddenly, a bright light appears, enveloping Ichirou in smoke and dust. When he comes to, he finds that he has been reborn as a mechanized weapon wearing the skin of his former self. Though initially shocked, Ichirou uses his newfound powers for good by saving someone's life, filling him with happiness and hope. However, the origins of these strange powers remain unclear, leaving us wondering who was the mysterious figure at the site of the explosion and whether they are as kind as Ichirou when it comes to using this dangerous gift.
