11-year-old Persia grew up on the Serengeti plains in Africa with animals. Her twins, Riki and Gaku Muroi, along with their grandfather, Gouken, brought her to Japan where she lived with a couple who owned a grocery store. During the flight to Japan, Persia experienced the "Lovely Dream" and met the Fairy Queen, who explained that the Lovely Dream was in danger and requested Persias help. The Fairy Queen gave Persia a magical headband that allowed her to transform into a teenage girl and use magic. She was sent with three kappa back into the regular world on a mission to collect love energy to thaw the frozen Lovely Dream. If she failed or someone caught her using magic, Riki and Gaku would be transformed into women.
