At Shinryou Private Academy-a prestigious school for affluent students-one would not anticipate encountering poverty-stricken Suigin Riku. When he's not working on one of his numerous part-time jobs to cover his tuition, he often spends time playing the role-playing game Dungeon Century, where he has cultivated a close bond with an online companion. However, when Dungeon Century is shut down, Suigin discovers that his crush, Rei Riku, and his online friend are actually the same person. Following this revelation, Rei gets kidnapped and taken to Grave Buster-a new online game created by the makers of Dungeon Century-forcing Suigin to enter the harsh new world of a pay-to-win game in order to save her. Gin no Guardian 2nd Season follows Suigins quest to rescue Rei while also attempting to unravel the enigmas surrounding this strange game.
