The Skyfarers, who are fleeing from the Erste Empire, receive an invitation to negotiate a ceasefire at Albion Citadel. They meet with Vira Lillie, the current Lord Commander of Albion and a friend of Katalina Alize, who was trained at Albion. Imperial General Furias grants them an official pardon but fails to ease tensions. After the negotiations, they attend a gala hosted by Vira to celebrate their arrival. However, Furias and the Erste delegation remain on the island even after the talks are over. They discover that there is a Primal Beast on the island, and Katalina announces her resignation in a letter. While Gran searches for their former comrade, Eugen and Rackam investigate the Imperial presence on the island, suspecting a more nefarious plan from the Empire.
