The story revolves around Carrie, a protagonist who has lost her combat memories and is on a quest to discover her past and the events leading up to her "Awakening." Set between 2025 and 2030, humanity faces a global war that results in the death of half the world's population. As control over the conflict fades, it becomes more like a game, with weapons such as satellite lasers, bomb drones, intelligent AI, unmanned gun turrets, and tanks being used on the battlefield. In contrast to this technological advancement, there is also a group of young women known as Gun Girls who fight using outdated firearms.
