Totta, an elementary school student, stumbled upon a mysterious fishing rod while visiting his father's grave. Intrigued by it, he decided to try it out. To his surprise, the fishing rod caught "bar souls" from barcodes on everyday items such as ramen, drinks, and candy. This newfound discovery opened up a whole new world of fishing for Totta. Along with his new companion Potepen, who he caught from a bag of potato chips, Totta embarked on a mission to catch the strongest bar souls possible.
