刹界エイトレイド, The Exciting Eight

In this universe, there are many parallel universes that exist alongside our own. There's always a connection between them, which is called "Prism." Sometimes energy and matter flow from these other worlds to ours. One day, creatures known as "Eight" appeared in our world from one of those parallel universes and started attacking. To defend ourselves, we used a power called "Skuld," which draws on the strength of tomorrow. The government created an army called "Norn" made up of Skuld users to fight back against the Eight. Despite their efforts, however, the monsters continued to wreak havoc for many years. Then, one day, a boy named Asuma was discovered who could use an ancient weapon.
