A 12-year-old princess named Comet from Harmonica Star country was supposed to meet the prince of Tambourine Star country at a ball. However, he did not show up, so Comet was sent on a mission to Earth in search of him. She would recognize him by his starlight eyes. On her journey, she encountered Princess Meteor from Castanet Star country who also arrived on Earth looking for the prince. Comet's companion is Rubba Ball, a little puppy with a star at the end of his tail. Before Comet came to Earth, another princess had already visited and fallen in love, marrying and leaving behind her white cat with bunny ears named Bunny as a fairy in the forest. Comet's power comes from the stars of Harmonica Star country and is channeled through her baton. She also wears a pendant that allows Rubba Ball to emerge and helps her detect and find the prince on Earth.
