Mihara Shouma is a high school freshman who hasn't seen his friend Atsushi in 3.5 years since they lost touch after elementary school. One day, Atsushi contacts Shouma to invite him to a rare festival so they can catch up. Shouma attends the "Tanabata Seven Night Festival" in the mountains but finds that Atsushi is not there. Instead, he meets Shiori, who also wants to meet someone. Kanna, the festival program manager, suggests staying until the end of the festival and helps prepare for it with Shouma and Shiori. They become involved in strange events happening in the town during the festival.
