In ancient times, a great battle took place between Enno Ozuno, a master mage, and Karuma, an evil demon goddess. Although Enno was powerful, he couldn't defeat her alone and had to call upon Zenki, a strong protector demon. After the victory over Karuma, Enno sealed Zenki away in a pillar inside his temple. Two centuries later, Enno's descendant, Chiaki, lives in Shikigami-cho and works as a tour guide and exorcist to make ends meet. One day, two thieves enter the town with the intention of opening a seal in the Ozuno temple and releasing the treasure within. However, instead of the treasure, they unleash a dark entity that attaches itself to them, transforming them into demonic beings. These demons then rampage through the temple, causing fear for Chiaki. Now it is up to her to use her family's powers to summon Zenki and protect Shikigami-cho from these demons and any evil entities that may follow in their footsteps.
