To acquire control of her grandmother's Dagashi store, art student Kumi Honamanuma relocated to Kyoto. There she encountered Harami Mino, K Kusanagi, Mai Haisaka, and a canine residing in the establishment, which was supposedly vacant. Despite initial reservations, Kumi ended up sharing living quarters with these individuals, who asserted that they were reincarnated heroes tasked with combating the demon king in contemporary times. Although it appeared as though Harami and her companions led tranquil lives without any missions left to fulfill, Ran - a former demon king who had failed to reincarnate - unexpectedly emerged one day, requesting fragments of demon kings. The narrative commences with Ran initiating this quest.
