As many individuals who work diligently, Kuroto Nakano experiences constant anxiety due to his job. Despite living alone, he must continue working to sustain himself. However, what humans like Kuroto are unaware of is that this stress manifests as a darkness within an individual's body and can ultimately lead to their downfall. Fox deities possess the ability to perceive this darkness and have been tasked with saving people from its destructive effects. In order to alleviate Kuroto's tension, Senko-san, an eight hundred-year-old foxgirl, offers her assistance and will do everything in her power to ease his weary soul.
