In essence, Rekka Hanabishi is a modern-day self-styled ninja who comes from a family that specializes in fireworks. Despite his love for the art of ninjutsu, he finds himself embroiled in numerous fights due to his bold declaration that whoever defeats him will become their servant. During one such encounter, Rekka meets Yanagi Sakoshita, a girl with healing abilities. Their meeting sets off a series of events leading to the shocking revelation that Rekka is actually the last surviving member of a legendary ninja clan wiped out centuries ago and possesses the power to control fire.
