The inquiry into mask usage remains active because Connor is still at large. Following a bus accident that resulted in only one survivor, new evidence and information about Connor's whereabouts have emerged. This survivor is a young girl who may be connected to the case in some way. Although SSC continues its investigation, Richard, the police director, resigned after Steven's passing. His successor, who is new to SSC, has expressed skepticism towards SSC. In response, he has assigned a new agent to work with SSC's team.
