The narrative revolves around a world where futsal has gained immense popularity worldwide over the past ten years. Haru Yamato is inspired by Tokinari Tenōji, a Japanese footballer who plays in the U-18 World Cup championship. As a result, he enrolls at Koyo Academy High School to pursue his dream of becoming like Tenōji. Along the way, he forms friendships and faces challenges from his rivals.
Futsal Boys!!!!! is a part of the Japanese multimedia franchise of the same name, collaborated by Bandai Namco Arts, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and Diomedéa. The anime was set to premiere in 2021, but was delayed to 2022 due to quality concerns regarding its partner smartphone game.The series was released on Blu-ray and DVD in six volumes from April 27, 2022 to September 28, 2022.
