The Border Defense Agency successfully repelled an invasion by Aftokrator and planned a mission to explore the neighboring dimension. Only A-rank teams were guaranteed a place on this mission, leaving Osamu Mikumo and his team at Tamakoma-2 to compete for promotion beforehand. Meanwhile, a new Neighbor ship appeared near Border Headquarters, targeting the expedition ship. Due to ongoing rank wars within the organization, fewer squads were available to defend against the attackers. As a result, uncertainty surrounds the fate of the crucial expedition ship.
