Nami leaves the Straw Hat crew and takes their ship and treasures with her. She escapes to Arlong Park where she is confronted by Luffy and his team. Arlong is a cruel fish-man who has seized control of her homeland with violence and bribes from the Navy. Despite disagreements, Luffy tries to persuade Nami to return with them. Ultimately, her true motive for betraying them is uncovered.
