In a time of peace, the Kingdom of Doria was ruled by King Baasen. However, this changed when he was overthrown and killed by his closest friend, Randis. To secure his own power, Randis ordered the execution of King Baasen's son, Prince Sho. When guards were sent to kill him, they found him playing with Randis daughter Diana in the castle garden. In a struggle, he attempted to flee but was pushed off a waterfall and declared dead. Twelve years later, Princess Diana is set for marriage with Prince Dunan of Guptia. Unable to accept this responsibility, she disguises herself as a man and flees the kingdom. She is captured by nomads who plan to make her their slave. However, before she submits, Sho appears at their camp and negotiates for her ownership and assistance in reclaiming Doria. The two childhood friends reunite and embark on a journey back to their homeland while dealing with personal and political issues along the way.
