In 1990, Bandai released a four-episode OVA series called SD Gundam Gaiden. This was directed by Tetsuro Amino and took place in the fantasy world of Suda Doaka. Popular characters from the Gundam franchise such as Amuro Ray and Char Aznable were featured, along with fantastical versions of well-known mobile suits. The series follows Knight Gundam and his companions as they protect Suda Doaka from the threats posed by Satan Gundam and Sieg Zeon. Most of the action takes place in the Kingdom of Lacroa, which has been featured in other SD productions like SD Gundam Force. Unfortunately, this series is not available for viewing in the United States.
