According to legend, eating mermaid meat grants eternal life. This was true for Yuta and his companion Mana, who lived for 500 years without aging. However, most individuals who attempt to achieve immortality either perish or transform into monsters. In 1967, Towa Kannagi received mermaid blood from her sister Sawa in order to cure her fatal illness. As a result, she has maintained her youthful appearance except for her white hair and beastly arm. For many years, Towa has dreamed of restoring her body by using blood transfusions from young corpses with the assistance of local doctor Shiina. Mana, who was mistaken for dead by Shiina, was brought in for her blood to be used by Towa. When Towa discovers that Mana is still alive, she will go to great lengths to restore herself.
