In an alternate reality world that resembles Edo Period Japan, Luffy is portrayed as a police officer in two separate adventures. The first involves Buggy causing chaos in town, while the second introduces Vivi, a mysterious girl who appears after Episode 253. Several characters from throughout the series make cameo appearances in this special, which was aired following episode 290 and continues the story as part of the New Years special.
