The stunning hills of Koumi Island are a major draw for tourists, coming in second only to its breathtaking coral reefs and the legend surrounding Anne Bonnie and Mary Read. A visit to the island is made even more special by the museum that houses the cutlass and pistol of the famous pirate duo. On their trip to Koumi Island, Kogorou Mouri is joined by his daughter Ran, her best friend Sonoko Suzuki, the Detective Boys, and Conan Edogawa. While staying at a hotel, they encounter some confusion regarding their rooms, which leads them to meet treasure hunters and become involved in the island's treasure craze. The Detective Boys embark on their own treasure hunt while Conan discovers a murder in far harsher waters. Soon after, the police arrive based on a clue from a recent robbery, causing chaos on Koumi Island. As everyone rushes to secure Anne and Mary's lost booty, Conan, Kogorou, and the police search for something far more valuable than riches - justice.
