On Deloyer, a colony governed by Earth Federation, there are those who advocate for independence. In an unforeseen turn of events, the elected governor declares martial law and assumes absolute power. The Federation supports this move, and the planet is ruled with an iron fist. This leads to rebellion among the populace, including the governor's estranged son. They use a prototype Combat Armor known as Dougram in their fight for freedom from the dictatorship and independence from the Federation's influence. The story follows "The Fang of the Sun," a group of guerrilla freedom fighters who engage in a war across Deloyer, with the Federation relentlessly pursuing them.
