The deadly virus called "Algernon" has attacked humanity with a vicious intent. At the forefront of this fight are Akamatsu Industries, an undercover organization that operates from a heavy machine factory in Tokyo. They use neural enhanced weapons known as NeuroNoids to battle Algernon. Additionally, they have the help of the mysterious mutant called "Betterman" with their secret efforts against the virus.
