The anime movie pocket monsters xy: sora no hahen is related to the pokémon xy television series and was shown in two tokyo planetariums. as with previous planetarium anime, it was projected onto 360-degree panoramic domes. in the story, satoshi and his friends visit the pokémon aerospace exploration agency (a reference to japan's real-life space agency). they are fascinated by tales from paxa astronauts about the wonders of outer space and the possibility that pokémon may exist there. suddenly, sirens sound as team rocket attempts to seize control of paxa and infiltrate the facility. at this critical moment, a problem arises with the artificial satellite control system. large pieces of space debris have collided, causing concerns about further debris.
