Dr. Teng and his kappa assistant Pasuke embark on a two-part video series, traveling through time to significant events such as the Battle of Sekigahara (1600) and the fourth Battle of Kawanakajima (1561). In the second installment, they observe Yoshitsune's last stand in Hiraizu mi (1189), before jumping forward to cover Nobunaga Oda's first use of firearms in battle at Nagashino (1575). This production combines live-action footage with anime and is described as a "documentary with a touch of story" by Japanese sources. It may be related to Shotaro Ishinomoris multivolume manga history of Japan.
