Due to continuous seismic activity, Industria is at risk of being submerged in water in the near future. Its residents are actively preparing for evacuation while trying to escape from the island. However, their plans are disrupted when they encounter Lepka, who had been thought dead but has been secretly hiding underground and waiting for an opportunity to seize control of Industria's solar energy and fuel Gigant-a warplane with devastating capabilities that Lepka intends to use for world domination. Lana and Monsley recognize Lepka's malevolent intentions and manage to escape from Industria to inform Conan and his team about the impending threat. Conan, along with his friends Dyce and Jimsy, embark on a dangerous mission to neutralize Gigant and prevent Lepka from achieving his goals.

Mirai Shounen Conan: Kyodaiki Gigant no Fukkatsu is an edited version of the television series' last three episodes. The movie was released alongside Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä, but it was overshadowed by the widespread success of the Topcraft film.
