In the second Yokai Watch film, after Keita liberates Whisper from 190 years of confinement, Whisper vows to safeguard Keita from supernatural perils. Moreover, Whisper presents Keita with a device that enables him to detect other yokai. Along with Jibanyan, their twin-tailed cat spirit companion, they confront numerous yokai-related issues and resolve them.
