The anime is based on a playstation game with the same name. it follows four individuals - sheyenne rainstorm, a gunslinger wielding the legendary arms weapon; kiel aromax, a scientist resembling a sword-bearer; roleta oratorio crest sorceress, who uses cards called crests to cast spells; and mirabelle graceland, a member of the noble red family, vampiric creatures living alongside humans. they journey through filgaea's barren landscape while creating their own legendary tale. alongside them are cute furry companions from the popepi pipepo tribe - isaac and jerusha.
