Koyomi Araragi has become a vampire after helping revive Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade. Although Kiss-shot is confident that she can turn him back into a human, it requires her to regain her full power first. To do this, Araragi has hunted down the three hunters who defeated Kiss-shot and retrieved her limbs. However, as he nears his goal, he must consider if this is truly what he wants. If he revives the powerful immortal vampire, there's no telling what she might do, and it would be impossible to stop her. There are unanswered questions that Araragi doesn't understand. How did the hunters defeat Kiss-shot if a newborn like him could easily overpower them? Can he trust Kiss-shot to turn him back into a human? And how is this even possible in the first place?
