Akira Akebono and his group of robots are competing in a tournament where many of the competitors can transform into animal forms. The goal is to win the Titan Belt, which Akira hopes to achieve with the help of Daigunder, a robot created by his father, Professor Hajime Akebono. Alongside Haruka, they form Team Akira and face challenges from both their opponents and Ginzan, a robot under the control of evil Professor Maelstrom.
