Tales of the Rays, an iOS/Android game developed by Bandai Namco, features an animated promotional video that showcases its main characters Ickx Neve and Mileena Weiss. The sequel to the original game was announced on YouTube, where it was streamed for viewers to see. In addition to new characters, returning characters from other Tales of games also make an appearance in the video. Unlike traditional methods, Bandai Namco has decided not to create a new app for this sequel. Instead, they will update the current game app with a massive overhaul that discontinues the main storyline and resets the gameplay for all users. The tone of the story is said to be darker than in previous installments. The production of Tales of the Rays was announced in 2015, and its official launch is expected sometime later this year.
