After excelling in the qualifying round for the Kansai regional competition, the members of Kitauji High School's concert band set their sights on the next performance. During their summer break, they participated in a camp led by their band advisor Noboru Taki and his professional musician friends. Kumiko Oumae and her peers remained resolute in their pursuit of gold at the Kansai competition. However, complications arose when a former member expressed interest in rejoining, stirring up unwanted memories for the second-year students. Additionally, Kumiko discovered that her teachers had surprising pasts which motivated them to lead the band towards success. To achieve their goal of competing at nationals, the determined students would need to work diligently and demonstrate their unwavering commitment to the band.
