The original composition of the poem "Watashi to Kotori to Suzu to" was penned by Misuzu Kaneko. Ryuichi Sugimoto later transformed this poem into a melody, which was then performed by Aragaki Tsutomu. This song was subsequently animated and showcased on NHK's Minna no Uta program.
