The Music Squad is a group of witches that protect people's happiness and combat evil by using their magical abilities to create melodies. They differ from the defenders in the military, who are called "Music Idols," because they focus on healing rather than fighting.

Renmei Kuugun Koukuu Mahou Ongakutai Luminous Witches was set to air in 2021, but was delayed to 2022 due to various circumstances. The series was released on Blu-ray and DVD in four volumes from October 26, 2022 to January 25, 2023.
