Hatachi no Ryouma with Kurofune-kun!  

Shinagawa Anime Sonosan, ハタチの龍馬 with クロフネくん！

The anime "A Tour of Shinagawa" was created in celebration of Japan's 150th anniversary since the Meiji Restoration. It features Sakamoto Ryouma, a notable figure from that era, as its main character. Ryouma spent most of his youth in Shinagawa under the Tosa Clan residence and has a statue dedicated to him there. In the anime, he is shown encountering Kurofune-kun, a mascot representing black ships that landed in Japan during the Meiji Restoration. The two time slip back to modern times in Shinagawa, where they explore the city together and meet other historical figures who have also been transported through time.
